MUM
A family contacted me and they explained that their Mum had recently passed away.
They asked if I could make them something, not too big and not too small.
Just a gentle reminder of their Mum.
They said that she had had a favourite plate set. A set of 1981 commemorative plates for the marriage of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer on 29th July 1981.
Their mum had collected lots of different plate designs over the years, all for the same event, the marriage of Charles and Diana.
The family had found one of the plates broken.
I explained that I could make a mosaic the word MUM using the broken plate and a plain background using tiles in her favourite colour, dark red.
They liked this idea and asked me to go ahead.
